A man allegedly stole power tools from Lowes, located at 2796 Route 112, at approximately 12 p.m. on May 10.

Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a crash that seriously injured a motorcyclist in Medford on July 23.

Jacobo Olvera-Mendoza was operating a 2007 Suzuki Boulevard motorcycle eastbound on Horseblock Road when he crashed into a westbound 2019 Chevrolet Equinox as it was turning left on to Maine Avenue at approximately 9:25 p.m.

Olvera-Mendoza, 44, of Medford, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue before being transferred to Stony Brook University Hospital. The driver of the Chevrolet, Douglas Saslona, 43, of Mastic, was not injured.

Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.

Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist on July 22 in Mastic.

Silvano Posadas was operating a 2003 Suzuki motorcycle northbound on Mastic Road when he struck a northbound 2010 Toyota Matrix that was stopped at the intersection of Somerset Avenue waiting to
make a left turn at approximately 8:45 p.m.

Posadas, 35, of Bellport, was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue where he
was pronounced dead. The driver of the Toyota, Molly Mills, 61, of Medford, was not injured.

Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the
crash to contact the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752.

Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a
bicyclist in Bohemia on July 22.

Melissa Turner was traveling southbound on the shoulder of Lakeland Avenue, south of Smithtown
Avenue, riding an electric bicycle when she collided with a 2023 Ford Bronco traveling southbound in
the right lane at 2:01 p.m.

Turner, 54, of Bohemia, was transported via ambulance to South Shore University Hospital in Bay
Shore where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the Ford, Alex Lorenzo, 32, of Sayville, was not
injured. The Ford and the bicycle were impounded for safety checks. Detectives are asking anyone with
information on the crash to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.

UPDATE: Suffolk County Police arrested a man on July 21 for robbing a bank in Huntington Station on July 13. Following an investigation by Major Case Unit detectives, Steven J. Reyes was arrested on East Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station at approximately 1:20 p.m. Reyes, 35, of Huntington, was charged with Robbery 3rd Degree for robbing New York Community Bank/Roslyn Bank, located at 693 E. Jericho Turnpike, on July 13 at
approximately 2:30 p.m.

Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred in Huntington Station on July 13.

A man entered New York Community Bank/Roslyn Bank, located at 693 E. Jericho Turnpike, passed a note threatening violence and demanding money. The teller complied and the suspect fled on foot with proceeds.

He is described as white, approximately 30 years old, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall with a medium build and dark hair. He was wearing a black Adidas hat, blue hooded sweatshirt, black jeans and a backpack.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on this robbery to call the Major Case Unit at 631-852- 6555 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who allegedly struck a an employee at a gated community in Lake Grove this month.

A food service delivery person got out of his vehicle and allegedly struck an employee in the face at Encore at Lake Grove, located at 1 Encore Blvd., on July 13. The delivery person was carrying a bag of food from Popeyes at the time. The victim was treated at a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash caused by a wrong-way driver that killed him and another male driver in Holtsville in the early hours of July 20.

Thomas Raimondo was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound on the westbound Long Island Expressway between Exits 62 and 63, when he crashed the vehicle head-on into a 2005 Acura, driven by Jose Ferreira, at 12:43 a.m.

Raimondo, 61, of Holbrook, and Ferreira, 32, of West Babylon, were pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. There were no other passengers.

The vehicles were impounded for safety checks and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.

Suffolk County Police arrested a Huntington Station man in the early hours of July 19 for allegedly driving while intoxicated following a single-vehicle crash that seriously injured him and his twin brother.

Terhon Legros was driving a 2014 Infiniti Q50 westbound on West 11th Street when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole in front of 149 West 11th St. at approximately 3:45 a.m.

Legros, 28, and his twin brother, Terrell Legros, of the same address, were both transported to Huntington Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Terhon Legros will be arraigned at a later date. The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
