Suffolk County Police arrested two Flushing women for alleged unlawful practice of a profession during a massage parlor raid in Coram on July 3.

In response to numerous community complaints, Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers, along with the Town of Brookhaven Building Inspector, Town Fire Marshal, and Town Investigator, conducted a massage parlor investigation at BBP Enterprises, located at 356 Middle Country Road, Suite 301, at 3:30 p.m.

Yanfang Gao, 41, and Geng Hua Zhu, 42, were arrested and charged with alleged Unauthorized Practice of a Profession. The Town of Brookhaven documented numerous violations at the business. Both women were released on a Field Appearance Ticket and are scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip on a later date.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Two males allegedly damaged a Pulaski Road PVC fence by running through it at approximately 2 a.m. on June 1.

The Suffolk County Police Department, assisted by the New York State Police and the Suffolk County Sheriff’s
Office, arrested three motorists during an overnight sobriety checkpoint in Port Jefferson Station on June 30 and July 1.

Police officers from the Suffolk County Police Department’s Highway Patrol Bureau conducted a joint sobriety checkpoint operation with New York State Troopers and Suffolk County Deputy Sheriffs at the corner of Route 112, at Hallock Avenue, from 11:40 p.m. until 2:30 a.m. The checkpoint was part of an ongoing July 4th holiday weekend enforcement crackdown targeting alcohol and drug impaired driving. A total of 414 vehicles went through the checkpoint.

The following were charged with allegedly Driving While Intoxicated:
 Gabrielle Brewer, 30, of Coram
 Jariel Felix-Benitez, 30, of Farmingdale
 Matute Monjoya, 41, of Mt. Sinai
The above arrestees will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on July 1.

Suffolk County Police arrested a Central Islip man on July 1 for driving with 50 license suspensions.

Third Precinct officers initiated a traffic stop on 5th Avenue, near Drexel Drive, in Bay Shore after Cristian Mendoza was observed failing to signal before changing lanes in a 2008 Nissan Altima at 2:27 p.m. Upon further investigation, it was determined Mendoza, 24, has 50 license suspensions on seven dates. He was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on a later date.

The 2008 Altima was impounded.

A woman allegedly stole a car seat, valued at $250, from Target, located at 2975 Horseblock Road, on June 25 at approximately 6:35 p.m

Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred at a Central Islip bank on June 29.

A man entered Bethpage Federal Credit Union, located at 233 South Research Place, at 9:24 a.m. and handed a teller a note demanding cash and threatening violence. The teller complied with the man’s demands and the man fled the bank on foot.

The man was described as Black, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, and was wearing a blue surgical mask, sunglasses, light-colored pants and a baseball hat.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on this robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220- TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential..

Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a Selden
man who was riding an electric scooter on June 27.

Nicholas Greer was driving a 2009 Ford Escape southbound on Boyle Road and was behind a man riding an electric scooter when the vehicles collided on Boyle Road, just north of Middle Country Road, at 5:05 p.m. The operator of the scooter, Henry Leib, 53, of Selden, was pronounced dead on the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. Greer, 23, of Selden, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

A woman allegedly stole approximately $350 worth of makeup from Target, located at 160 North Research Place, at approximately 1:30 p.m. on May 19.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Second Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man who allegedly stole from a Huntington Station store in June.

A man allegedly stole six five-gallon buckets of latex from Home Depot, located at 785 New York Ave., at approximately 1:15 p.m. on June 19. The merchandise was valued at approximately $135. He left the scene in a GMC pickup truck.

Suffolk County Police arrested two men on June 27 for allegedly selling cannabis without a license at a Huntington Station store.

Following an investigation by Second Precinct Crime Section officers, a search warrant was executed at Cloud Smoke Cigar & Convenience, located at 116 East 11th St. where a large quantity of concentrated cannabis, cannabis, cannabis packing equipment, and flavored vape products were discovered.

Two employees of the store, Basam Mohamedyafai and Mohamed N. Mubarez, were both arrested at the store. Mohamedyafai, 30, of Yonkers, was charged with one count of Unauthorized Sale of Cannabis Products Without a License. Mubarez, 36, of the Bronx, was charged with two counts of Unauthorized Sale of Cannabis Products Without a License and one count of Criminal Possession of Cannabis 3rd Degree.

Both men were released on Desk Appearance Tickets and are scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip later this year. The Town of Huntington issued multiple violations to the business.
