Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker has announced the Suffolk County Summer Concert and Movie Night Series in collaboration with community organizations including North Shore Youth Council, the Longwood Alliance, the Middle Island Civic Association, the Middle Island Fire Department, the Coram Civic Association, the Coram Fire Department, and the Ridge Civic Association.

“The summer community concerts have been instrumental in providing local performances with free-admission concerts across the district,” said Legislator Sarah Anker. “I encourage our residents to attend these concerts that provide a wonderful entertainment venue for all ages. A warm thank you to the community organizations for their partnerships with my office.”

1. North Shore Youth Council Community Movie Night

'Keeping Up eith the Steins'

Temple Beth Chai, 870 Townline Road, Hauppauge invite the community to an outdoor movie night on April 17. “Keeping Up with the Steins” starring Garry Marshall and Daryl Hannah will be shown on a giant outdoor screen at 9 p.m. Snacks and beverages will be sold before the movie. Tickets are $36 per vehicle and must be purchased in advance by calling 724-5807 or by visiting www.bethchaiofhauppauge.com.

Vanderbilt Movie Night

Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum, 180 Little Neck Road, Centerport continues its outdoor movie night series with a screening of the Halloween classic “Hocus Pocus” on Friday, Oct. 2 and “Nightmare Before Christmas” on Oct. 3 at 6:30 p.m. and again at 9:30 p.m. Please arrive a half hour before showtime. Admission for those who sit in their cars is $40 per carload, $34 for members. Bring lawn chairs and sit outside: admission is $30 per carload, $24 for members. Ice cream and snacks will be sold. Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum, 180 Little Neck Road, Centerport continues its movie night series with a screening of “The Greatest Showman” (rated PG),  the story of legendary circus promoter P.T. Barnum, starring Hugh Jackman tonight and Sept. 5 at 8 p.m.

Admission for those who sit in their cars is $40 per carload, $34 for members. Bring lawn chairs and sit outside: admission is $30 per carload, $24 for members. Feel free to bring a blanket and arrive at 7 p.m. to picnic on the lawn. Snacks and ice cream will be available for purchase.
