Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the men who allegedly stole merchandise from a Stony Brook store this month.

Two men allegedly stole $350 worth of kitchen accessories from Homesense, located at 2162 Nesconset Highway, on June 12 at 9:08 p.m.

Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously
injured a motorcyclist in Holtsville on June 16.

Annalynn Wood-Gruber was driving a 2010 Honda sedan westbound on Long Island Avenue when she
attempted to make a lefthand turn onto Waverly Avenue and collided with a eastbound traveling 2013
Honda motorcycle at 12:50 p.m.

The driver of the motorcycle, Antonio Argueta, 52, of Bellport, was transported via ambulance to Stony
Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious physical injuries. Wood-Gruber, 21, of Holtsville,
was not injured.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Sixth Squad detectives at 631-854-8652.

Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist in Holtsville on June 13 at approximately 6:20 p.m.

Jared Rueb, 46, was operating a 2005 Honda motorcycle, southbound on North Ocean Avenue by Peconic Avenue, when he lost control and struck a curb at approximately 6:20 p.m. He was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His motorcycle was impounded for a safety check.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who allegedly stole a package from a Commack home last month.

A man allegedly stole a package containing four cellphones, valued at $3,000, from the front porch of a Weeping Cherry Lane home on May 29 at approximately 3:10 p.m. The man fled in a waiting white Mercedes-Benz.

A man allegedly stole four handbags, from TJ Maxx, located at 5125 Nesconset Highway on April 9 at approximately 2:50 p.m. The items were valued at approximately $440.

Suffolk County Police arrested two women during a raid at a massage parlor in Selden on June 12. In response to numerous community complaints, Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers, in conjunction with the Town of Brookhaven Building Inspector, Town Fire Marshal and Town Investigator, conducted an investigation into Jixiang Spa, located at 721 Middle Country Road.

Two employees, Jiangnan Tong, 46, of Flushing, and Wenjing Guo, 39, of Flushing, were both charged with alleged Unauthorized Practice of a Profession, a Class E felony under the New York State Education Law. Tong and Guo were both issued Field Appearance Tickets and are scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip on a later date. The Town of Brookhaven issued several violations to the business.

A man and woman allegedly stole groceries, valued at approximately $930, from Stop and Shop, located at 425 Portion Road, on June 4 at approximately 8 p.m.

Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating an incident during which a toddler was
found unresponsive in a residential swimming pool in Central Islip on June 11 around 4 p.m.

Third Precinct officers responded to a home on Woodland Ave., after a 911 caller reported that a 3-year-old child had been found unresponsive in a pool. Family members pulled the girl out of the water and began CPR until first responders arrived on scene.

The child, who is a resident of the home, was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip for treatment of serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the driver of a vehicle that struck and killed a pedestrian in Ronkonkoma last month.

Elyse Crivaro was in the roadway on Ronkonkoma Avenue, near Third Street, on May 20 when she was struck by a dark-colored Toyota Prius that was traveling southbound at approximately 3:20 a.m. Crivaro, 21, of Holbrook, was pronounced dead at Stony Brook University Hospital.
