UPDATE: Ashley Leonardi, 17, of Centereach, who was reported missing on March 12, has returned home and is unharmed.

Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to locate a Centereach teen who was reported missing on March 12.

Ashley Leonardi, 17, was last seen leaving her residence on Belwyn Lane, on March 11 at approximately 4:30 p.m. Leonardi is Caucasian, 5 feet one inches tall, 125 pounds with blue eyes, blonde and black hair. She was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, tan sweatpants and white sneakers.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on her location to call 911 or the Sixth Squad at 631- 854-8652.

UPDATE: Mertcan Cakmak, the 12-year-old boy who was reported missing on March 13, was located on
March 15 in the Bronx with the assistance of officers from the NYPD’s 46th Precinct. Cakmak was found
unharmed.

Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to locate a Farmingville boy who was reported missing early this morning (March 13).

Mertcan Cakmak left his home, located on Waverly Ave., on a bicycle sometime overnight and is possibly attempting to go to the Bronx. He was reported missing by a family member at approximately 5:45 a.m. Mertcan, 12, is white, 5 feet 5 inches tall, approximately 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing ripped jeans and a dark-color hooded sweatshirt. He has braces and a scar above his eye.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on Cakmak’s location to call the Sixth Squad at 631- 854-8652 or 911.

seeking the public’s help to identify and locate two men who allegedly used stolen credit cards last year.

A woman’s purse was stolen from the front seat of her vehicle while she was loading purchases into her vehicle in the parking lot of Costco, located at 625 Broadhollow Road in Melville, on August 30. Credit cards from the woman’s purse were used at Target in Farmingdale later that day.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the people who stole a catalytic converter from a vehicle in Islandia. 

A catalytic converter was stolen off a 2015 Chevrolet van parked in the parking lot of Hendrickson Towing and Recovery, located at 140 Hoffman Lane, on February 24 at approximately 4:40 a.m.

Suffolk County Police arrested four people on March 3 for allegedly selling E-Cigarettes to persons under 21 during compliance checks at businesses in the Fourth Precinct.

In an effort to address community complaints, Fourth Precinct Anti-Crime Unit officers and Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers conducted compliance checks at Vape/Smoke Shops at locations in the Fourth Precinct.

The following employees were charged with alleged Sale of Restricted E-Cigarette to Persons Under 21:

 Ryan Knechtel, 23, of Medford, employed at Hookah City, located at 2700 Middle Country Road, Lake Grove

 Adem Kulekci, 34, of Ronkonkoma, employed at St. James Gas Inc., located at 889 Middle Country Road, St James

 Muhammad Mazhar, 25, of Huntington, employed at Mr. Vape Smoke Shop, located at 114 Main St., Kings Park

 Syed Ahmed, 56, of Selden, employed at Evolve Smoke Shop, located at 629 E. Main St., Kings Park

The men were issued Field Appearance Tickets and will be arraigned on a later date.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
