the public’s help to identify and locate the man who allegedly used a stolen credit card to make multiple purchases.

A man allegedly used a stolen credit card to make multiple purchases with a combined value of approximately $2800 at CVS and Walgreens in Commack on March 31 at approximately
5:30 p.m. The credit card had been stolen from a purse at Barnes and Noble in East
Northport earlier that day.

A man allegedly stole clothing from Dick’s Sporting Goods, located at 870 Walt Whitman Road, on April 22. The man was described as Black, wearing glasses, white sneakers, a black zip up sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and tan hat.

A male and female allegedly stole approximately $500 worth of merchandise from Walgreens,
located at 302 Route 25A, on May 9 at approximately 2:45 p.m.

Suffolk County Police arrested two men and issued dozens of summonses during an illegal car meet in Bay Shore on June 2.

Following an investigation, members of the Suffolk County Police Third Precinct Community Support Unit, in conjunction with officers from the Second and Fourth Precincts, responded to a parking lot, located at 1851 Sunrise Highway, where more than 150 vehicles were meeting at approximately 10:30 p.m.

An 18-year-old Bay Shore man was observed by police spinning the tires of a 2019 Dodge Charger 392 causing a burnout and was charged with Unlawful Speed Contest, Sideshows and Races. The Dodge Charger was seized by Suffolk County Police.

Kevin Bishop, 24, of Huntington Station, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 2 nd Degree and Obstructing Governmental Administration.

Both were released on a Field Appearance Ticket and are scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip on a later date. Police issued drivers a total of 64 summonses for vehicle and traffic violations.

Suffolk County Police arrested four teenagers last night and this morning for allegedly breaking into a building on the Dowling College campus in Oakdale on May 31.

Four people broke a window with bricks and entered the Racanelli Learning Resource Center, located at 150 Idle Hour Blvd, at approximately 1 p.m. on May 31. Once they were inside the building, property was damaged and taken, and then the group fled the scene.

Following an investigation by Fifth Squad detectives, the four were identified and arrested.

An 18-year-old Patchogue man was arrested at his residence at 4:45 p.m. on June 1 and charged with Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree.

An 18-year-old Brentwood man was arrested at 4:34 p.m. on June 1 at his residence and charged with Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree.

Zachary Pandolf, 19, of Patchogue, turned himself in at the Fifth Precinct and was arrested at 10:20 p.m. on June 1 and charged with Burglary 3rd Degree.

An 18-year-old East Patchogue man was arrested at his residence at 1:30 a.m. on June 2 and charged with Burglary 3rd Degree.

The last two arrestees are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on June 2. The first two arrestees are scheduled to be arraigned at a later date.

The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854- 8552.

Suffolk County Police arrested a homeless man on June 2 for allegedly committing three robberies that occurred at a gas station and two hotels in February. Following an investigation by Major Case Unit detectives, it was determined Jose Nieves was allegedly responsible for the following robberies during which he made threats and stole cash:

 Shell Gas Station, located at 701 Islip Ave. in Islip, on February 15
 Towne Place Suites By Marriott, located at 1 Marriott Plaza in East Farmingdale, on February 13
 Clarion Hotel, located at 3845 Veterans Memorial Highway in Ronkonkoma, on February 9

Nieves was charged with alleged three counts of Robbery 2nd Degree. The Suffolk County Police Department collaborated with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, NYPD and the Nassau County Police Department as Nieves committed similar robberies in those jurisdictions. Detectives are continuing the investigation to determine if Nieves is responsible for other robberies. Nieves, 28, is scheduled to be arraigned today at Suffolk County Court in Riverhead.
