Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad Detectives are investigating an incident during which a man was
found dead inside his vehicle after it was located in the water in Stony Brook on Sept. 1.

Sixth Precinct police officers responded to a 911 call of a vehicle in the water off Stony Brook Fishing Dock, located on Shore Road, at approximately 10:15 p.m. The vehicle, a 2005 Lexus, was pulled from the water, and the body of a 30-year-old Setauket man was found inside. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392.

Suffolk County Police Department Safe-T, assisted by the New York State Police and the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office, arrested three motorists during an overnight sobriety checkpoint in Huntington Station. Staff and volunteers for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) attended and handed out educational fliers to motorists who were stopped at the checkpoint.

Police officers from the Suffolk County Police Department’s Highway Patrol Bureau conducted a joint sobriety checkpoint operation with New York State Troopers and Suffolk County Deputy Sheriffs at the LIRR parking lot, located at Route 110 and Church Street, from 11 p.m. on Sept. 1 until 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 2. The checkpoint was part of an ongoing Labor Day holiday weekend enforcement crackdown targeting alcohol and drug impaired driving. A total of 403 vehicles went through the checkpoint.

The following were charged with two counts of allegedly Driving While Intoxicated:

  •   Claudia Primavera-Murphy, 61, of 2Huntington
  •   Jonathan D. Commisso, 30, ofHuntington Station
  •   Frank Arcarola, 50, of Huntington Station. Arcarola was additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree.

Update: Suffolk County Police arrested a Holtsville man on Sept. 1 for a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian in Huntington Station on August 27. Following an investigation by Major Case Unit detectives, Kevin Galloway, 53, was charged with Leaving the Scene of an Incident without Reporting-Death.

Galloway will be held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on September 2.

Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a
pedestrian in Huntington Station on Aug. 27.

Natividad Interiano was crossing Pulaski Road, at 1st Avenue, when he was struck by a dark colored
SUV traveling eastbound on Pulaski Road, at approximately 9:10 p.m. The driver of the SUV fled the
scene, continuing eastbound on Pulaski Road.

Interiano, 48, of Huntington Station, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the
Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Major Case Unit at 631-852-
6555 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the men who allegedly stole from a Medford store in August.

Two men allegedly stole two breast pumps and three pairs of jeans from Target, located at 2975 Horseblock Road on August 10. The merchandise was valued at approximately $710. They fled in a white sedan.

Suffolk County Police arrested a man for allegedly selling cannabis without a license at a Coram smoke shop on Aug. 30.

Following an investigation by Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers, in conjunction with Town of Brookhaven Investigators, Building Inspectors and Fire Marshall and Suffolk County Health Department – Tobacco Enforcement, a search warrant was executed at Chico’s Smoke Shop, located at 3663 Route 112, where a large quantity of cannabis products, hemp products, unstamped cigarettes and flavored vape products were sold.

An employee of the store, Tarrell Miller was arrested at approximately 2:20 p.m. Miller, 32, of Coram, was charged with two counts of Unauthorized Sale of Cannabis Products Without a License, Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 2nd Degree, and Possessing or Selling Unstamped Cigarettes.

Miller was released on Desk Appearance Tickets and is scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip later at a later date.

Suffolk County Police arrested a Brooklyn woman for alleged prostitution during a massage parlor raid in
Huntington on Aug. 30.

In response to community and quality of life complaints, Second Precinct Crime Section officers, in conjunction with officials from the Town of Huntington, and Huntington Town Fire Marshal, conducted an investigation into AT Shangrila Spa, located at 870 West Jericho Turnpike, at approximately 3 p.m.

Following an investigation, Huaying Wei, 46, was charged with two counts of alleged Prostitution and two counts of Unlawful Practice of a Profession.

Four people allegedly stole electric scooters from Target, located at 265 Pond Path, at 1:10 p.m. on August 22. The merchandise was valued at approximately $580.

A man approached a woman walking on Towne Woods Road in Coram on August 18 at approximately 6 p.m. The two engaged in a verbal dispute and the man allegedly displayed a knife. The woman left on foot.

Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating an assault that seriously injured a man at Millers Pond in Smithtown in the early morning of Aug. 26.

After conversing with an unknown female on social media two days ago, a Bay Shore man agreed to
meet with her at Millers Pond, located on Maple Avenue. The man arrived at 2:20 a.m. and was sitting
in his vehicle when four males wearing bandanas on their faces approached his vehicle. One male broke
his windshield and another pointed a gun and demanded he exit the vehicle. The man was then assaulted
and stabbed.

The suspects, who were described as Hispanic, fled into nearby woods. The victim, 24, was transported
to a local hospital with serious injuries.
