Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Town Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate four people who allegedly stole from a Riverhead store in June. Three women and a man allegedly stole 10 pairs of sunglasses from Sunglass Hut, located in the Riverhead Tanger Outlets, at approximately 2:40 p.m. on June 30. The merchandise was valued at approximately $3,000.

Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred in Patchogue on July 13.

A woman wearing a motorcycle helmet entered Webster Bank, located at 361 Sunrise Highway, at 9:05 a.m., verbally threatened violence and demanded money. The teller complied and the suspect fled with cash on the back of a waiting motorcycle westbound on Sunrise Service Road North.

The description of the woman fits an attempted bank robbery at Chase Bank in Yaphank on July 10 and a bank robbery at TD Bank in Lake Ronkonkoma also on July 10.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on this robbery to call the Major Case Unit at 631-852- 6555 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.

Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian in Shirley on July 11.

David Arnold, was crossing the roadway northbound, in front of 863 Montauk Highway, when he was struck by a SUV heading westbound on Montauk Highway that fled the scene. He was then run over by a westbound sedan, which fled northbound on William Floyd Parkway, at approximately 11:40 p.m. Arnold, 48, was transported via Suffolk County Police MedEvac helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Major Case Unit at 631-852-6555 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.

Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives have arrested a 17-year-old male after he shot a 15-year-old female on July 7 at approximately 11:15 p.m. The female was inside a vehicle on Tenpoint Lane in Setauket at the time of the incident and was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.  The male charged with Robbery 1st Degree and Assault 2nd Degree. He was held overnight and arraigned July 8. The investigation is ongoing.

Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a man in
Holtsville on July 10.

A 2018 Ford van was traveling westbound in the right lane of the Long Island Expressway, approximately a 1⁄2 mile east of Exit 61, when the van merged into the center lane and struck the rear of a 2005 Chrysler 300. The Ford van swerved into the right lane, left the roadway, struck a tree and caught fire at 7:22 a.m.

The 39-year-old driver of the Ford, who is not being identified pending notification of next of kin, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. The driver of the Chrysler, Michelle Fiori, 58, of Shirley, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks. Anyone with information on this crash is asked to contact the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.

A woman entered TD Bank, located at 474 Portion Road, and passed a note to a teller allegedly demanding cash at approximately 3:05 p.m. The employee complied and the suspect fled the scene on the back of a waiting motorcycle westbound on Portion Road. The woman was wearing a face mask and a motorcycle helmet.
