Suffolk County Police arrested the owner and four patrons of a Huntington Station restaurant during an inspection on May 9.

In response to community complaints, Second Precinct Crime Section officers, in conjunction with New York State Liquor Authority, Town of Huntington Code Enforcement and Town of Huntington Fire Marshal, conducted a SLA Inspection at Las Lajas Deli, located at 156 Depot Road, at 10:05 p.m.

During the inspection, the owner of the restaurant, Yony Zelaya, 40, of Huntington Station, was charged with Disorderly Premise, a misdemeanor. He is scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip on May 10.

The following patrons of the restaurant were arrested for alleged possession of cocaine:

  • Wilfredo Perez, 48, of Huntington Station, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree (a felony) and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree (a misdemeanor.)
  • Danery Ulioaulioa, 42, of Huntington Station, was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree (a misdemeanor.)
  • Edis Doblado, 41, of Huntington Station, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree (a misdemeanor.)
  • Wilson Orellana-Mejia, 41, of Huntington Station, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree (a misdemeanor.)

    They are scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip on May 29.

    The State Liquor Authority observed numerous violations and is conducting a further investigation into the establishment, as well as the Town of Huntington Code Enforcement and Fire Marshal, who issued four combined violations.

Suffolk County Police last night arrested three people during a New York State Liquor Authority compliance check in Huntington.

Second Precinct Crime Section officers along with Second Precinct Patrol officers, New York State Liquor Authority, Town of Huntington Fire Marshal, and the Town of Huntington Code Enforcement Inspector, conducted an SLA Inspection at Finley’s of Greene Street, located at 43 Green St., at 11:11 p.m.

Police arrested the following people for the following alleged offenses:

  • Sandra Finley, 78, of Cold Spring Harbor, the owner, was charged with Disorderly Premise, and was issued three SLA citations.
  • Jordan Gaffney, 34, of Freeport, a security guard, was charged with Unlicensed Security Guard.
  • Adam Willet, 42, of Ridge, a security guard, was charged with Unlicensed Security Guard,

    Obstructing Governmental Administration, and Resisting Arrest.

    The Town of Huntington Fire Marshals and Town of Huntington Code Enforcement Inspector issued four combined building, fire and code violations to the owner. The Liquor Authority observed gambling on the premise as well as several other violations. As a result of the inspection, the establishment was closed for the night.

Suffolk County Police arrested a bartender on May 26 for allegedly selling alcohol to an underage person at a Mount Sinai establishment during a New York State Liquor Authority compliance check.

In response to community complaints, Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers along with representatives from the New York State Liquor Authority and the Town of Brookhaven Fire Marshall, Investigator, and Building Inspector conducted a SLA Inspection at Royal Bar and Billiards, located at 164 Route 25A, at approximately 12 a.m.

During the inspection, Matthew Donnelly, a bartender at the establishment, allegedly sold alcoholic beverages to an underage police agent at the bar. Donnelly, 37, of Mount Sinai, was arrested and charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 1st Degree. He was issued a Field Appearance Ticket and will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.

Numerous summonses for various SLA and building violations were issued to the establishment.

In response to community complaints, Second Precinct Crime Section officers along with Second Precinct Community Support Unit, Second Precinct Patrol officers, New York State Liquor Authority and the Town of Huntington Code Enforcement conducted an SLA Inspection at Las Lajas Deli located at 156 Depot Road, at approximately 9:05 p.m. Three people were arrested during the inspection.

Police arrested the following people for the alleged following offenses:

• Carla Rodriguez-Romero, 42, of Huntington Station, an employee of the deli, was charged with
Disorderly Premise, an unclassified misdemeanor and was issued four SLA citations.

• Shiloh Dixon, 45, of Hempstead, an employee of the deli, was charged with an active bench
warrant.

• Jose Cante-Secaida, 46, of Huntington Station, a patron of the deli, was charged with an active
bench warrant and Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 7th Degree.

The State Liquor Authority observed numerous violations and is conducting a further investigation into
the establishment, along with the Town of Huntington Code Enforcement. As a result of the inspection,
the establishment was closed for the night.
