Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash during which a Port Jefferson Station man was killed in Coram on Jan. 12.

Timothy McGreevey was driving a 2019 GMC Sierra pickup northbound on County Road 83 when his truck collided with a 2018 Ford Mustang traveling northbound on Route 112. The Mustang struck two other vehicles on County Road 83 before coming to a stop. The Sierra struck a van that was stopped in the turning lane on County Road 83.

The operator of the Mustang, David Black, 85, of Port Jefferson, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. McGreevey, 35, of Rocky Point, and the drivers of the other vehicles were not injured. The Ford Mustang and GMC Sierra were impounded for a safety check.

Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a man in Coram on Dec. 31.

Anthony Maynes was driving a 2024 Mercedes Benz SUV westbound on Norfleet Lane when he attempted to pass, but sideswiped, a 2007 Toyota Camry, then struck a parked 2015 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, crashed through the fence in front of 114 Norfleet Lane, struck a tree and came to a stop at approximately 4:25 p.m.

Maynes, 33, of Ronkonkoma, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital in serious condition. A passenger in the vehicle, Jawarren Booker, 28, of Ridge, was transported to the same hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. There were no other injuries. The Mercedes was impounded for a safety check.

The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.

Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a woman in Coram on May 28.

Rosemary Kappen was driving a 2010 Ford Fusion southbound on Route 112 when she attempted to make a left turn onto Barone Drive and her vehicle was struck by a southbound 2006 Toyota at approximately 6:10 a.m. Kappen, 59, of Medford, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital in critical condition. The driver of the Toyota, Barbara Raynor, 75, of Eastport, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check. Anyone with information on this crash is asked to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.

Suffolk County Police arrested a Coram woman on April 2 for allegedly driving while under the influence of drugs following a motor vehicle crash with her nephew and niece in the vehicle.

Leigh Dellolio was driving a 2006 Nissan eastbound on Pine Road, near Corpine Lane, when the vehicle struck a fire hydrant at 10:56 a.m. Police determined Dellolio was under the influence of drugs at the time of the crash. No one was injured, and the children, a 6-year-old boy and 3-year-old girl, were released to a family member.

Dellolio, 47, was charged with alleged Aggravated Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs with a Child Passenger 15 Years Old or Younger (Leandra’s Law), and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

The Nissan was impounded. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
