Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Town Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the woman who allegedly stole an identity to make purchases from a Riverhead store in January.

A woman allegedly used personal information belonging to a woman in upstate New York to open a credit line with Best Buy. The suspect used the credit line to purchase several electronics valued at approximately $2,650 from the store, located at 1440 Old Country Road, on January 16.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate two people who allegedly stole merchandise from a Selden store this month.

A man and woman allegedly stole two scooters and additional items from Target, located at 107 Independence Plaza, on February 20 at 5:40 p.m. The merchandise was valued at approximately $350.

Suffolk County Police Arson Section detectives are investigating a residential fire that occurred in Setauket on Tuesday morning, February 28.

Sixth Precinct officers responded to 19 Franko Lane after a 911 report of a fire at 1 a.m. The Setauket Fire Department arrived at the scene and extinguished the blaze. Five residents of the house were transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation but it does not appear to be suspicious at this time.

Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in Commack on Feb.27. Krista Mooney was driving a 2020 Volkswagen Atlas eastbound on Scholar Lane, at the intersection of Shaker Ridge Lane, when her vehicle struck a pedestrian at 6:10 p.m.

The pedestrian, Matthew Conte, 36, of Commack, was pronounced dead at the scene. Mooney, 31, of Commack, was transported to Saint Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown for evaluation. The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452.

Suffolk County Police arrested a woman on Feb. 21 for allegedly utilizing another individual’s identification to pawn items several times in Lindenhurst this month.

Property/Auto Crime Unit detectives began an investigation after discovering suspicious pawn activity
by an individual selling new items to a pawn store in Lindenhurst between February 8 and February 14.
Following an investigation by Property/Auto Crime detectives with assistance from First Precinct Crime
Section officers, Jacqueline Nollman Hubbard was arrested near the Lindenhurst pawn shop with stolen
property.

Nollman Hubbard, 40, of Hauppauge, was charged with five counts of alleged Criminal Personation 2nd Degree and five counts of Forgery 3rd Degree for using a Pennsylvania woman’s identification and forging her signature during the transactions. She was also charged with one count of Petit Larceny. She was issued a Desk Appearance Ticket and will be arraigned on a later date.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

A man allegedly stole assorted food and drinks from 7-Eleven, located at 655 East Main Street, at 1:13 a.m. on January 31. He fled the scene in a black Cadillac.

Suffolk County Police have arrested six people during an underage vape operation at locations in the
Second Precinct on Feb. 23.

In response to numerous community complaints, Second Precinct Crime Section officers conducted an
investigation into the sale of vapes and e-cigarettes to minors during which 24 businesses were checked
for compliance.

Employees of the following stores were allegedly charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 2nd Degree:
 An employee of Green Leaf Smoke Shop, located at 247 Broadway, Greenlawn
 An employee of Cloud Empire Smoke Shop, located at 108 Broadway, Greenlawn
 An employee of East Northport Smoke Shop, located at 250B Larkfield Road, East Northport
Two employees of the following stores were charged with Criminal Sale of Cannabis 3rd Degree:
 An employee of Cigar House Smoke and Vape Shop, located at 594 Walt Whitman Road,
Melville
 An employee of Intense Smoke, located at 532 Walt Whitman Road, Melville
An employee of the following store was charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 2nd Degree and
Criminal Sale of Cannabis 3rd Degree:
 An employee of Nirvana Vape Shop, located at 1153A East Jericho Turnpike, Huntington

All six employees were issued Field Appearance Tickets and are scheduled to appear in First District
Court in Central Islip on a later date. Compliance checks were conducted at 18 other businesses in the
Second Precinct and no violations were issued. Of those 18 businesses, three were cited during a
previous inspection but were found to be in compliance during this check.
