Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating an incident in which a man was shot in his wallet at an apartment complex in Coram on April 17.

An unknown person fired multiple shots into a vehicle located at the intersection of Homestead Drive
and Grant Court inside the Homestead Village Apartment Complex at approximately 10:50 a.m. A bullet became lodged in the wallet of a man who was inside the vehicle. The man was not injured.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652 or

Suffolk County Police arrested an employee at a smoke shop for allegedly selling cannabis and illegal vape products without a license in Huntington Station on April 18.

In response to community complaints, Second Precinct Crime Section officers and Town of Huntington Fire Marshal and Building Department executed a search warrant at Rollie’s Smoke Shop IV, located at 278 E. Jericho Turnpike at approximately 2:15 p.m. The investigators seized marijuana, THC marijuana vapes, large quantities of flavor vape products as well as cash.

An employee, Pardeep Kumar was arrested and charged with three counts of alleged Unlawful Sale of Cannabis, three counts of Sale of Cannabis Without a License, Unlawful Possession of Cannabis, two counts of Criminal Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree, and Unlawful Sale of Flavor Vapes.

The Town of Huntington issued several violations and is conducting a further investigation into the business. Kumar, 35, of Bellerose, was issued a Desk Appearance Ticket and is scheduled to appear at First
District Court in Central Islip on May 8.

Suffolk County Police cited two people on April 14 during a New York State Liquor Authority compliance
check at a Central Islip restaurant.

In response to community complaints, Third Precinct Crime Section officers, and representatives from
the Town of Islip Fire Marshal, Suffolk County Board of Health and New York State Liquor Authority
conducted a compliance check at El Tenampa, located at 1553 Islip Ave., at approximately 12 a.m.

Police  cited the following persons for the following alleged offenses:
• Lee Franklin, 47, of Bay Shore, was cited for Unlicensed Security Guard Under NYS General Business Law.
• Jose Marquez-Blanco, 57, of Brentwood, was cited for Employing Unlicensed Security Guard and Failure to Maintain Records Under NYS General Business Law.

Violations were also issued by the Town of Islip Fire Marshal, Suffolk County Board of Health and New
York State Liquor Authority.

Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in Central Islip at approximately 2:40 a.m. on April 14.

A man was crossing Suffolk Avenue, approximately 100 feet east of Church Street, when he was struck by a westbound 2014 Honda Pilot, driven by Alba Cujcuj.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. Cujcuj, 59, of Bay Shore, was not injured.

The Honda was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
