Suffolk County arrested a man on Sept. 1 after he allegedly took pictures of a young girl as she changed her clothes in a dressing room of a Commack store.

William Veitch-Canete was working as an employee at Burlington, located at 108 Veterans Memorial Highway, when he reached his cell phone under a changing room door and took pictures of a 10-year- girl as she changed her clothes at approximately 9:15 p.m.

The girl saw the cell phone and told her parents, who were also in the store. The parents confronted Veitch-Cante, and then called the police. Fourth Precinct Patrol officers arrived at the scene and placed Veitch-Cante in custody.

Fourth Squad detectives charged Veitch-Cante, 27, of Commack, with Unlawful Surveillance 2nd Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.

The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with additional information or if you believe you are a victim to call the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452.

Suffolk County Police last night arrested a Manhattan man for Unlawful Surveillance that he conducted at a store in East Farmingdale earlier this month.

A man used his cellphone to take pictures up the skirt of a 43-year-old woman at Dollar Tree, located at 2263 Broadhollow Road on May 9 at 5:35 p.m. Following an investigation by First Squad detectives, Christopher St. Surin was arrested on May 24, at approximately 9:50 p.m. St. Surin, 30, of 312 Delancey St., Apt. 1A, was charged with Unlawful Surveillance.

The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with additional information or if you

A man allegedly took pictures under a woman’s dress at the mall on Tuesday night and was arrested.

According to the Suffolk County Police Department, the defendant approached a woman from behind at the Smith Haven Mall Macy’s around 8 p.m. and took photos under her dress without her knowing. Police said in a statement that the 23-year-old victim “became suspicious of the man’s presence behind her” and alerted security in the Lake Grove store, who in turn notified police.

After investigating and allegedly confirming that suspect Scott Coleman took photos of the woman without her consent, police arrested the 24-year-old Ronkonkoma man and charged him with second-degree unlawful surveillance.

Attorney information for Coleman was not immediately available on Wednesday.
