Suffolk County Police arrested a Huntington High School student on Feb. 11 for allegedly making a threat of mass harm on social media.

Following a tip, Second Precinct officers responded to Huntington High School, located at 188
Oakwood Road, at 11:30 a.m. after the student allegedly made a threat of mass harm on Snapchat.

The female student, 18, was charged with Making a Threat of Mass Harm. She will be taken for
evaluation and will be arraigned on a later date.

Suffolk County Police arrested a Greenlawn student on May 17 after she allegedly made a threat of mass harm.

Second Precinct Crime Section officers responded to Old Field Middle School, located at 2 Old Field Road, after a student allegedly made a threat of mass harm on May 13.

A school official notified police about the threat on May 17. The school searched the teens locker. She was arrested at the school at approximately 4:30 p.m.

The teenager was charged with Threat of Mass Harm, a Class B Misdemeanor, and will be arraigned in Suffolk County Family Court on a later date.

Suffolk County Police arrested an East Northport student on May 6 at approximately 3 p.m. after she made threats of mass harm to several students. Second Precinct Crime Section officers responded to East Northport Middle School, located at 1075 5th Ave., after a student made a verbal threat of mass harm to other students at the school.

Officers located and isolated the 13-year-old student, and an investigation was conducted. There were no weapons brought to the school. She was arrested at the school at approximately 3 p.m. and transported to the Second Precinct. The student was charged with Threat of Mass Harm, a Class B Misdemeanor, and released to her parents. She will be arraigned in Suffolk County Family Court on a later date.

Suffolk County Police arrested a school custodian on Dec. 13 for allegedly making a threat of mass harm against the school district.

Jimmy Martin, a custodian at the Cold Spring Harbor School District, applied for a promotion at work last week. When he was informed that he did not get the promotion, he allegedly made a threat of mass harm against the school district while speaking to co-workers on December 8 and again on December 11. A school administrator was informed of the threats yesterday afternoon, and contacted police at 5:17 p.m.

Following an investigation by Second Precinct Crime Section officers, Martin, 57, was arrested at his home inĀ  Huntington at 10:44 p.m. He was charged with Making a Threat of Mass Harm.
