Two people removed a trailer from the parking lot of Eagle Chevrolet of Riverhead, located at 1330 Old Country Road, at approximately 7:15 p.m. on February 16. The trailer, which is valued at $60,000, contained $75,000 worth of automotive parts.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the pair who allegedly stole merchandise from a Lake Ronkonkoma store earlier this month.

A man and woman allegedly stole items from Stop and Shop, located at 449 Portion Road, on February 10 at 2 p.m. The merchandise was valued at approximately $585.

The Suffolk County Police Department is advising motorists of road closures for the Kings Park St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 1 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Pulaski Road will be closed from Cedar Street to Route 25A. Lou Avenue will be closed from Cedar Street to Pulaski Road. Route 25A will be closed from Country Lane Drive to Lawrence Road. Church Street will be closed from Meadow Road to Hilden Street. Old Dock Road will be closed from Route 25A to Flynn Road.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes.

Suffolk County Police arrested a man on Feb. 25 for criminal mischief in connection to a road rage incident that occurred earlier this month in Melville.

On Feb. 15 Jayson Otero-Savage was driving a 2022 Tesla T3 southbound on Walt Whitman Road, near the Northern Parkway entrance ramp, when he cut in front of a 2017 Chevrolet Impala and stopped short at approximately 2:20 p.m. Otero-Savage and two male passengers of the Tesla exited the vehicle. One passenger looked on while Otero-Savage and the other passenger punched and kicked the Chevrolet causing extensive damage. The three then got back into the Tesla and fled the scene southbound.

Following an investigation by Second Squad detectives, Otero-Savage, 18, of Huntington Station was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree. He was being held overnight at the Third Precinct and was scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on February 26.

The Suffolk County Police Department is advising motorists of road closures for the grand opening of a supermarket in Lake Grove on Wednesday, February 26.

Large crowds are expected around the area of Wegmans, located at 3270 Middle Country Road, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should expect an increase in traffic on Middle Country Road, Alexander Avenue, New Moriches Road, and Hallock Road. Motorists not attending the opening should use alternate roads in the area.
