MEET OPHELIA!

This is Ophelia, a 3-year-old short-haired mix who came to Kent Animal Shelter all the way from Thailand, where she was rescued from the meat trade. This sweet girl is so full of personality and love and looks forward to going for long walks. She is ready to begin the next chapter in her life!  

Ophelia comes spayed, microchipped and up to date on all her vaccines. Kent Animal Shelter is located at 2259 River Road in Calverton. Lavendar

MEET LAVENDER!

This week’s shelter pet is Lavender, a 1½-year-old tabby cat patiently waiting at Kent Animal Shelter for a new adventure. She was brought to the shelter just as she was giving birth to 7 kittens. She went into a foster home with her babies so she could care for them until they were weaned.

Now it’s Lavender’s turn to be pampered! She loves to play, comes when called, sits on your lap, uses a scratching post and loves to be around children! She comes spayed, microchipped and up to date on all her vaccines.

MEET TRUFFLES!

This week’s shelter pet is Truffles, a 1-year-old terrier mix rescued from a high-kill shelter in South Carolina and now safe at Kent Animal Shelter.  A beautiful brindle/tricolored girl who loves to play, Truffles just seems to get overlooked  by potential adopters.

Come and take Truffles for a walk (she walks nicely on a leash), and perhaps you’ll decide to give her a chance at a new life!  She would make a wonderful addition to any family lucky enough to have her!

MEET LUCY!

Spring has sprung! Why not celebrate this beautiful time of year with a new addition to your family, like Lucy, an 11-month-old border collie mix, waiting with eager anticipation at Kent Animal Shelter for her furever home.

Lucy is a very sweet girl, loves to run and play and just adores nice long walks. She would do best in a home with a big fenced yard because she is full of energy! Sadie

MEET SADIE!

This week’s featured shelter pet is Sadie, a beautiful Lab mix who was rescued from a high kill shelter in North Carolina and is currently safe at Kent Animal Shelter. The sweetheart is approximately 2 years old and has a very sweet, mellow disposition, loves people and seems to be fine with other dogs as well.

Kevin

MEET KEVIN AND KALI!

Kali

This week’s featured shelter pets are 7-month-old pointer/heeler mix siblings Kevin and Kali, both waiting at Kent Animal Shelter to be adopted. Kevin, listening very closely on the left, is an outgoing little guy with lots of energy, while Kali on the right is a bit more relaxed and is very sweet. These two would benefit from a nice big backyard to run around in. Kevin comes neutered, Kali is spayed and they are both up to date with their vaccinations and are microchipped.

Carmel

MEET CARMEL!

This week’s shelter pet is Carmel, a 2-year-old Chihuahua. Cute as a button, Carmel is a very loving, devoted dog. She attaches very quickly and loves to sit on laps. Carmel was surrendered to Kent Animal Shelter by her family due to personal problems and is now in search of a forever home.  

She is spayed, up to date with her vaccinations and is microchipped. Come down and meet her!  She would love to go home with you for Valentine’s Day!

MEET NUGGET!

This week’s shelter pet is a very handsome cat named Nugget. This one-year-old love bug was found outside as a stray and clearly belonged to someone at some point. He is now safe at Kent Animal Shelter but would rather be curled up in your arms for Valentine’s Day.

Nugget is neutered, up to date with vaccinations, has tested negative for feline AIDS and leukemia and is microchipped. Come on down and meet Nugget!

MEET PECONIC!

This week’s shelter pet is a lovely cat named Peconic. This beautiful girl is a 5-year-old calico who was found as a stray and is now patiently waiting at Kent Animal Shelter for her furever home.

Peconic has a very sweet disposition and would love nothing more than to curl up on your lap. She’s good with other cats and would probably be fine with a dog too. Come on down and meet her! Peconic comes spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

Vivaldi

MEET VIVALDI!

Look into my eyes …You are getting veerrrry sleepy. Your eyelids are feeling heavy and you are now asleep. When you awaken you will get into your car and drive to Kent Animal Shelter. You will visit the kitty cottage and meet a wonderful loving 8-month-old kitten by the name of Vivaldi. You will adopt me (Vivaldi). You will then bring me home to live with you where you will serve me by giving me plenty of food, lots of petting and enough loving until I can’t take anymore! When I meow you will awaken and embark on your journey … MEOW!! See you soon!
