Suffolk County Police arrested a man on March 26 for selling cannabis products at a Huntington Station store.

In response to numerous community complaints, Second Precinct Crime Section officers, in conjunction with the New York State Office of Cannabis Management Enforcement Unit, executed a search warrant at Joe Joe Convenience Store, located at 212 Depot Road, and seized Marijuana, THC Marijuana Vapes, Flavored Vape products, and money.

An employee of the store, Ahmed Fofana, 24, of New York, NY, was charged with Unlawful Sale of Cannabis, Sale of Cannabis without a License, Criminal Possession of Cannabis, and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree.

The business was issued violations and was closed by the New York State Office of Cannabis Management Enforcement Unit. The Town of Huntington was notified and is investigating. Fofana was issued a Desk Appearance Ticket and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on a later date.

Suffolk County Police arrested a man on Feb. 17 for allegedly selling cannabis products at a Ridge store.

Following community complaints, Seventh Precinct Investigative Unit officers conducted a compliance
check at Koncept Smoke Shop, located at 135 Middle Country Road, during which an employee allegedly sold cannabis products to an undercover officer at approximately 8:05 p.m. Four other businesses were also checked and in compliance with the law.

Ezaz Mohammad, 40, of Coram, was charged with Unlawful Sale of Cannabis and Unauthorized Sale of Cannabis Products Without a License. Mohammad was released on a Desk Appearance Ticket and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on a later date.

Suffolk County Police have arrested an employee of a Hauppauge smoke shop for allegedly illegally selling cannabis products twice in a six-day span.

Narcotics Section detectives, and Anti-Crime and Community Support Unit officers conducted an investigation into illegal sales of cannabis products during which seven businesses were checked for compliance with the law and violations were found at one. Qazi Siddique, an employee of Convenience 12-12 Smoke Shop, located at 900 Wheeler Road, was arrested for allegedly selling cannabis products without a license on May 2 and for selling cannabis products to a minor on May 8.

Investigators also seized large quantities of flavored vape products offered for sale. The store was issued multiple fire and building code violations and was closed by the Town of Islip Fire Marshal.

Siddique, 30, of Valley Stream, was charged with alleged Unlawful Sale of Cannabis and Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 2nd Degree. He is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
