Scavenger Hunt at the Hatchery

Celebrate World Turtle Day & Endangered Species Day with a scavenger hunt at Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery, 1660 Route 25A, Cold Spring Harbor on May 20, 21, 22 and 23 anytime from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Hatchery is home to some very unique animals. Some are even endangered, threatened or species of special concern. Take a hunt around to find and learn about these incredible animals. Admission is $7 adults, $6 seniors, $5 children ages 3 to 12. Cuddle and Care Workshop

Benner’s Farm, 56 Gnarled Hollow Road, East Setauket hosts a children’s workshop for ages 3 to 12, Cuddle and Care, on May 21 from 10 a.m. to noon, 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. and 3 to 5p.m., and on May 22 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. and 3 to 5 p.m. Children will be introduced to the farm’s newest baby barnyard animals. Owl Prowl Thursday

Visit Sweetbriar Nature Center, 62 Eckernkamp Drive, Smithtown on May 26 from 7:45 to 9:45 p.m. for an Owl Prowl!
