A man allegedly stole a DeWalt drill, valued at approximately $350, from Lowes, located at 100 Express Drive North, on October 1 at approximately 5 p.m.

Suffolk County Police are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a woman in Huntington Station on Nov. 1.

Stephanie Bonilla was driving a 2002 Honda Civic eastbound on East 18 Street, near Meadowbrook Drive, when she lost control of the vehicle, which left the roadway and crashed into a tree at 9:32 p.m. 

Bonilla, 18, of Huntington Station, was pronounced dead at the scene by an emergency medical technician. 

Anyone with information on this crash is asked to contact Second Squad detectives at 631-854-8252.

Yoneli Abimael Ramos Moreno

UPDATE: Yoneli Abimael Ramos Moreno, 20, of Brentwood, was identified as the man whose remains were found at Sunken Meadow State Park on Monday afternoon, New York State Police said in a press release on Nov. 1.

Ramos-Moreno was found by parkgoers off a trail at the eastern end of Sunken Meadow State Park, police said. His death is being investigated as a homicide, police said. He died recently, officials said.

On October 30 just before 1 p.m.  the New York State Police and New York State Park Police responded to a report of male human remains found at Sunken Meadow State Park in Kings Park.

The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and Forensic Identification Unit (FIU) responded to the scene to investigate.

The remains were taken to the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death. The person’s identity was not immediately clear, nor was how long the remains were there, who found the remains, or if there was foul play.

This is an active investigation and the State Police is asking for any witnesses or anyone with information to call 631-756-3300.

A 2004 white Ford F-150 was reported stolen on Hawthorne Avenue in Ronkonkoma on September 16. The vehicle was located abandoned on Montauk Highway in North Bellport on September 19.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate two people who allegedly used a credit card that was reported stolen in Ronkonkoma in October.

A credit card and cash were stolen out of a pocketbook from an unlocked Honda Odyssey that was parked on Lake Shore Road in Ronkonkoma between 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. on October 1. The credit cards were used later that day by a man and woman at Game Stop, located inside Smith Haven Mall, at approximately 5 p.m.

Two men allegedly stole merchandise from The Wine Guy Liquor Store, located at 220 West Main Street, on October 5 at approximately 11:15 p.m. The merchandise was valued at approximately $25,000. The men used a Sawzall to cut the stores lock. They fled in a Silver GMC Acadia Denali.
