Update: Joseph Poveromo has been located and is in good health, Riverhead Police said.

The Riverhead Police Department and the National Center for Missing and Endangered are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing man from Wading River.
Joseph Poveromo, 25, was last seen leaving his family’s residence at 34 Dogwood Lane in Wading River on Jan. 20 at approximately 12 midnight and leaving in his vehicle, a 1997 Nissan Maxima, tan in color with New York license plates LSR-1399.
Poveromo is described as a white male, 5′-7″ tall, weighing 150 pounds, with a fair complexion, hazel eyes, and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and a gray hooded sweater.
Poveromo is known to frequent the Wading River, Calverton, Riverhead and Mastic Beach areas, including parks in those areas.
He has been diagnosed with Aspberger’s Syndrome, ADHD, post-concussion syndrome, autism and is believed to be suicidal and in need of medical attention.
