Two people arrested for unlawful sale of cannabis in seventh precinct

Suffolk County Police arrested two people on Dec. 13 for selling cannabis during a compliance check at businesses in the Seventh Precinct.

In response to numerous community complaints, Seventh Precinct Crime Section officers conducted an investigation into the sale of cannabis during which five businesses were checked for compliance with the law. During the investigation, two businesses were found to be selling cannabis without a license.

The following people were arrested and charged with Unlawful Sale of Cannabis and Unauthorized Sale of Cannabis Products Without a License:

  • Rehana Kausar, 50, of Valley Stream, an employee of Shirley Smoke & Cigars, located at 429 William Floyd Parkway, Shirley.
  • Hardik Parmar, 21, of Holtsville, an employee of Main Street Smoke Beer and Convenience, located at 333 Main Street, Center Moriches.

    They were issued Field Appearance Tickets and are scheduled to be arraigned on a later date.
