Suffolk County Police recently arrested two employees of an East Northport assisted living facility for allegedly using a resident’s debit card to make unauthorized purchases between May and July of 2023.

Marisol Garcia, a healthcare aide at Birchwood Suites Assisted Living, located at 423 Clay Pitts Road, allegedly used a resident’s debit card to make unauthorized purchases between May 13 and July 10 of 2023.

Tekina England, who is also a healthcare aide at the same facility, allegedly used the same debit card to make a cash withdrawal from an ATM on June 1, 2023.

Following an investigation, detectives determined the loss totaled more than $10,000.

Second Squad detectives arrested Garcia, 19, of Inwood, on October 19, 2023 and England, 38, of Lindenhurst, on January 1, 2024. Garcia and England were charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree and issued Desk Appearance Tickets.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who allegedly used another person’s debit card to make a purchase. 

A man allegedly used a Commack woman’s debit card number to make a $465 online purchase at Target. The man then picked up the items at the Target location in Westbury and immediately returned the items for a gift card.

Wanted for Terryville Grand Larceny

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man who allegedly used a stolen debit card at a store in Coram in December.

The debit card was reported stolen out of a 2019 Ford parked outside of a Newport Drive in Terryville residence on December 10 at 2 p.m. The same day, a man allegedly used the card to purchase several gift cards from Home Depot, located at 346 Middle Country Road in Coram. The merchandise was valued at approximately $390.
