The Suffolk County Police Department is advising motorists of heavy traffic in Rocky Point for the Mike DelGuidice of Big Shot Concert Monday.

The event will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Church, located at 614 Route 25A from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on August 28. Overflow parking will be at Joseph A. Edgar School, located at 525 Route 25A. During the concert, Route 25A will be closed from the west side of the business district at 8:45 p.m. to 11 p.m. Traffic will be diverted on eastbound bypass. Westbound Route 25A will be closed at Broadway at 8:45 p.m. Southbound Rocky Point Landing Road traffic coming from Joseph A. Edgar School will be diverted westbound on Route 25A. Attendees should not arrive before 4 p.m.

As a reminder, there is no alcohol or tobacco permitted on church or school grounds.

The Stony Brook Medicine Mobile Mammography Van will provide screenings for breast cancer for women 40 and older from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, July 8, at St. Anthony of Padua Church in East Northport. The van will be parked at 1025 Fifth Ave. in East Northport, outside the church’s Parish Outreach office.

Screenings are provided by state-registered radiologic technologists trained in mammography. The van has a comfortable waiting area, private dressing room and a complete exam room. Individuals without insurance are processed through the Cancer Services Program of New York, if eligible.

The Visiting Nurse Service will administer annual flu shots by appointment in the Parish Outreach office of St. Anthony of Padua Church, 1025 Fifth Ave., East Northport on Wednesday, Sept. 16 from 10 a.m. to noon. Traditional Medicare (Part B) and Medicaid are accepted (not Medicare HMO or managed care Medicaid); others can pay $35 by cash or check. Private insurance is not accepted, but a consent form can be submitted to most insurers. Please bring your insurance card. Recipients will be required to wear masks and practice social distancing.
