Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a stabbing that occurred on Brightside Avenue, in Central Islip on Oct. 31.

A man was sitting in the driver’s seat while parked in the parking lot outside of 159 Brightside Ave., when a man approached the driver’s side door, opened the door and stabbed the victim with a knife at approximately 4:10 p.m. The suspect was wearing a Halloween mask. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
