A woman allegedly stole shoes from Famous Footwear, located at 1770 Veterans Memorial Highway, at 2:04 p.m. on February 11.

A man allegedly stole merchandise from Target, located at 2975 Horseblock Road, on January 16, 2023 and April 10, 2022.

A man and woman allegedly stole sterling silver jewelry from Hobby Lobby, located at 124 Veterans Memorial Highway, on January 10. The man is also a suspect from multiple other larcenies at the same Hobby Lobby that occurred on different dates.

A man allegedly stole a bunkbed from Walmart, located at 3990 Nesconset Highway, at approximately 3:05 p.m. on January 16. The merchandise was valued at approximately $245.

Suffolk County Police on Feb. 19 arrested a man for allegedly driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle crash in West Babylon. 

Madison Cedeno was driving a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer eastbound on Sunrise Highway, at Hubbards Path, when the vehicle struck a 2019 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck at approximately 8:40 p.m. The Chevrolet overturned and came to rest on top of the guardrail. The Mercury struck the guardrail and the center median. 

Highway Patrol officers arrived at the scene and determined Cedeno was allegedly intoxicated. He was taken into custody and transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip where he was treated for minor injuries and released. The driver of the Chevrolet, an adult male, was transported to the same hospital for treatment of minor injuries. 

Cedeno, 41, of Dix Hills, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

A woman allegedly stole multiple packages of Red Bull from Stop & Shop, located at 2350 North Ocean Avenue, at 4:57 p.m. on February 10.

Fast Cash Reward of Up To $5k Offered for Arrest

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the driver who fled the scene after killing a pedestrian in Ronkonkoma last year.A Fast Cash Reward of up to $5,000 is now being offered for information that leads to an arrest. The reward will be issued within seven days of an arrest.

Robert Twiford, pictured at right, parked his vehicle on the off ramp of eastbound Long Island Expressway at exit 60, exited the vehicle, and, while in the lane of travel, was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene on December 5 at approximately 8 p.m. A short time later, the driver of the fleeing vehicle stopped on Garrity Avenue in Ronkonkoma and exited his vehicle, which is described as a light-colored, possibly gray, 2015 to 2018 Ford Focus hatchback, and examined it with a flashlight. Twiford, 61, of Melville, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that injured two
people in Huntington Station on Feb. 21.

Luis Reyes was driving a 2013 Honda Civic westbound on Columbia Street when his vehicle left the
road and struck a tree in front of 189 McKay Road at approximately 2:15 a.m.

Reyes, 19, of Huntington Station, was transported to Huntington Hospital for treatment of serious
injuries. His passenger, Carlos Garcia Mendoza, 18, also of Huntington Station, was airlifted to Stony Brook
University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the
crash to contact the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.

Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to locate a Coram teen who
was reported missing on Feb. 21. Anyah Reid, 13, was last seen leaving her residence, located on Dumond Place, at approximately 12:30 a.m. Reid is Black, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 110 pounds with blue eyes, brown hair and braces. She was last seen wearing a black sweater, sweatpants and black Vans sneakers.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on her location to call 911 or the Sixth Squad at 631-
854-8652.

Suffolk County Police arrested six people on Feb. 20 for allegedly damaging fences as part of a TikTok Challenge in the Centereach and Selden areas.

A homeowner on Cobblestone Court, Centereach heard loud noises on February 20 at approximately 1 a.m., and noticed on surveillance cameras that six males kicked several sections of his fence down. The males, aged 12-18 returned and at 4:07 a.m. ran through the fence at the same time, as part of a TikTok challenge, sometimes referred to as “The Kool-Aid Man.” The homeowner called 911 and Sixth Precinct officers observed a black Hyundai sedan matching the description of a vehicle seen near the scene. The officers arrested the males on Hammond Road at 4:15 a.m.

Further investigation by Sixth Squad detectives revealed there were at least two other instances where some of the males allegedly damaged fences in Centereach and Selden. Detectives are investigating whether there are more instances. The five juveniles and one 18-year-old were charged with several counts of Criminal Mischief 3 rd Degree and Criminal Mischief 4th Degree. They were released on Family Court Field Appearance Tickets and are scheduled to be arraigned at Family District Court in Central Islip on March 6. Detectives are asking if anyone feels they may be a victim to this challenge, to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
